Vodafone Plans to Bring Mobile Web to Millions of Mobile Users of Developing Countries

Vodafone is planning to bring the internet to millions of mobile users in the developing countries by including a web browser on cheap handsets. According to a report pubmished in the Telegraph, Vodafone aims to include the Opera Mini browser on basic and mid-tier 2G handsets. Currently these handsets are can not access the internet in India, South Africa, Turkey, Tanzania and Egypt. The plan also include to expand the scheme to other developing countries also. The launch of the Opera browser will further help Vodafone in expanding its presence in developing markets.
