HTC Corp, the very well known mobile manufacturing company, has recently announced the launch of its first ever Smartphone, HTC Chacha, that will be equipped with advanced social networking features with dedicated Facebook button and applications. Announced at the Mobile World Congress, the device got a lot of attention at the tech show. It is meant to be a Smartphone fully dedicated to social networking features. Bearing a look and feel very much similar to the Blackberry phones, Chacha will provide support to various social networking sites and Facebook in particular.
There will be a 2.6 inch touch screen display with a full QWERTY keypad in the phone. The touch screen of the device supports extremely high resolution of 480 x 320 pixels and this is the reason why its display is simply astonishing. Normally, this type of resolution is present in extremely high end touch screen phones. Chacha will be running on a powerful Android operating system version 2 and will be run by a 600 MHz processor.
The most remarkable feature of the gadget is its integrated Facebook application which will allow working on Facebook lot more simple and fast. There will be a five megapixel digital camera built within the handset capable of shooting images at a maximum of 2592 x 1944 pixels. The face detection and Geotagging features present within the camera provide more avenues to your photographic skills. Users will be able to capture the pictures at any moment and immediately share them on their Facebook profiles. This is something that is not offered and supported by many phones available currently in the market, but being a social networking phone; the HTC Chacha is fully capable of doing this with great efficiency.
The phone will be supporting 3G, Wifi and Bluetooth connectivity options and will be available in two different colours, black and silver. The handset will provide huge storage capacity by supporting 32 GB of memory with the help of external memory cards of the micro-SD formats.
Along with HTC Chacha, two other handsets have also been announced by the company called HTC Salsa and 7 Surround. The price of the device has not been revealed yet but HTC Chacha contracts are expected to reach the UK market in the month of June as a part of affordable pay monthly phone deals with special offers.
