Nokia Launches New Symbian Social Networking Smartphone C6-01 in UK

After receiving the users’ applauds for the new range C series phones, Nokia today launched the social networking Symbian 3 Smartphone, the Nokia C6-01. Designed for effortless communication and easy mobile social networking, the C6-01 has hit the UK market on pay monthly contracts, PAYG and SIM-free deals.

Pay monthly offers on O2, Vodafone, Orange and T-mobile are available from £20 a month. For those who prefer PAYG deals, the Smartphone is offered through O2, T-Mobile and Vodafone from £219. You can also get hold of Nokia C6-01 SIM-free for £295.

One should not get confused with the Nokia C6. Although the phone comes with a similar emphasis on social networking like the C6, C6-01 like the C7 and E7, is more compact and advanced, and runs on the latest version of Symbian 3 operating system. This latest Symbian device also features the Ovi Store, with access to Ovi Music, Ovi Maps and Ovi Mail.

To provide easy social networking capabilities, the smartphone comes with support for Facebook and Twitter, together with multiple email accounts support and customisable home screens. There is an 8-megapixels digital camera with dual LED flash, and HD video ability.

Sami Lehtinen MD of Nokia UK said: ‘With its powerful combination of social networking, imaging, music, maps, and the new Symbian operating system, the Nokia C6-01 is a sophisticated yet elegant smartphone.’
